Week 6- Hello October

Hello October! Here is a look at what we did in class to begin our week. School will be closed for the rest of the week due to the threat of Hurricane Matthew...please be safe!

We began the week by talking about the letter Kk and words that begin with Kk.

K is for King! We worked on our cutting skills by cutting out the letter K. We decorated a crown fit for a King!

In our math center, we worked on counting skills by gluing the correct number of leaves to our numbered trees.

We began reading The Fire Cat book during circle time.  We're excited to see what happens to our friend Pickles the cat when we return to school.

On Tuesday, we began to talk more about fire safety and firefighters. We began our day by mixing red and yellow paint to create orange flames.

In one of our centers, we pieced together our own firefighters.

Excited for share bag!

We were all smiles out on the playground again this week!
