We explored the ocean this week!
Our classroom activities focused on the ocean and we ended the week with a
dolphin adventure!
In our literacy center we introduced a new sight word book about Ocean Friends. We used our "looking eyes" to help us read about different animals we can see in the ocean!
In a science center we mixed some ingredients to make our very own ocean slime! We helped in the process of measuring and mixing, then we got to enjoy!
During circle time we read Rainbow Fish books this week.
We made our own rainbow fish in an art center. We used celery to paint the scales on our fish. Then we added some glitter to give our rainbow fish a shiny scale just like the character in our books!
It was fun exploring with water beads in our discovery center. We used a variety of tools and containers to move, measure, and play with the beads.
We ended our week with a field trip to Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure. It was really fun to go out on the water and see some ocean friends!
