This week we talked about Fall! Our tree and door transformed for the season. We learned about the letters Ff (for Fall) and Ll (for leaves)!

On Monday, we read about how to keep germs away at school in our literacy center. Students answered questions, sorted things to share and not to share, and practiced using their germ catchers (inside of elbow) when we cough or sneeze.
We also enjoyed Spanish with Senora Emily!
Because of the rain, we had to stay inside for recess. Ms. Jen and Ms. Didi got out the shaving cream! Our class loved spreading it on the tables to practice writing our numbers, names, and to play in it!

On Tuesday, we counted all the way to 20 in our circle time. We tried to find patterns and asked why some numbers on our chart are blue.
We learned about the letter Ff and came up with many words that begin with Ff!
We read, built and wrote our Ff letters!
We also made a new Fall placemat for the month of October. We traced our hands and arms, then painted them to make a tree. We added colorful fingerprints to our branches to make the leaves.
We explored with legos on our rug center and got creative with our building!
After centers, we enjoyed share time with our friends.
Our leader helped us figure out what day it was on Wednesday!

We worked on the number 2 in our math center. We traced it, found it, counted it and colored it!

After share time, we used our "magic wand" to find the letter Ff on our board. We took our time to erase all the Ffs from the board, which left us with silly, nonsense words!
We were all smiles on Thursday...picture day! We enjoyed coloring, cutting and playing cars on the rug when we first arrived.
We circled up for our calendar time and discussed the letter Ll.
We sorted our names and counted how many friends have Lls in their name and how many friends do not.
Since it was picture day, we didn't have time for centers. We went right to share time and snack after we played a quick game of Number Bingo!
On Friday, we got ready for Ms. Becca and our friends to come for music.

After music, we reviewed the letter Ll and talked about leaves. We added fall colors to our leaf shapes by carefully squirting liquid paint from droppers.
As always, we had fun with our friends on the playground this week!
