Week 4: September 19-23

We cannot believe we finished the 4th week of school! This week we talked about apples, the letters Cc and Pp, shapes, numbers and we had a lot of fun!

On Monday, we chomped into science and math. We talked about apples and their parts. We discussed different colored apples and taste tested them to see which apple was our favorite. We recorded our results to share as a graph with the class.

Senora Emily came to our class and had an apple on hand. We learned that an apple is called "manzana" in Spanish!

During circle time we introduced our share bag. We loved getting to see what our friends decided to bring to share with us this week and everyone is looking forward to their turn with the share bag!

Cc is for Caterpillar! On Tuesday, we talked about the letter Cc and read The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We enjoyed painting our own caterpillars in an art center.

We also brainstormed some Cc words and enjoyed a caterpillar snack!

In our math center, we worked on identifying numbers and our counting skills.

Our special friend was the class leader since Tuesday was her last day.
We will miss our friend!

Goodbye hugs!

On Wednesday, we read a silly story about a boy who loved to use A LOT of glue!

We had fun creating our very own glue boy by using too much glue. This was quite different from our "Just a dot, not a lot" rule!

Some friends got to work building on the rug center.

On Thursday, we talked about the letter Pp. Pp is for pizza and for puzzles!

We were also pretty proud of our cutting skills!

On Friday, we reviewed the letter Pp.

Ms. Becca joined us for Music.  We had fun getting our wiggles out and sang a silly Halloween song that ends with "BOO!"

After music, we reviewed the The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We created beautiful butterflies to go along with our caterpillars and the story.

We also got to end the week with a birthday celebration!

As always, WIPP was a fun place to be this week! We loved exploring, learning and playing with our friends!
