Did you know February is dental health month?
Between preparing for Valentine's Day and learning our final letter (Yy), we had fun with teeth this week!

We read The Tooth Book by Dr. Seuss and talked about how to care for our teeth.
We used toothbrushes to "Brush Our Teeth" during center time.

We also pretended to be dentists. We used our fine motor skills to pick the "cavities" out of our giant playdough teeth.

We continued the "tooth" fun as we discussed foods that are healthy for our teeth and foods that are unhealthy for our teeth.  We sorted food pictures into these categories.

 Healthy or Unhealthy?

We loved showing our beautiful smiles this week!

We also made a new class book titled Super Smiles. Take a look at what makes us smile next time you are in our classroom!

January 30- February 3

Preschool Is Sweet!
Our class decorated the hall bulletin board for the month of February.
Isn't it sweet?

This week we focused on letters Uu and Gg!

In one of our math centers, we impressed Ms. Jen with our counting skills. We used playdough to make the correct number of raindrops for our Umbrella cards. We tried several different cards that ranged from small to large numbers.

We also impressed Ms. Didi with our cutting skills as we put together an Underground scene for the letter Uu.

We focused on the letter Gg on Thursday when we celebrated Groundhog Day!

We were thankful for a sunny day to go outside and explore shadows. We traced our shadows and noticed how long they were in the morning sunlight.

After our shadows were traced, we found some shade to cut them out. It was fun to take our shadows home with us.

Happy Groundhog Day!

Did you hear Georgia's very own groundhog, General Beauregard Lee, did not see his shadow?
Spring is on its way!
