April 3-7

It was a windy week in Preschool!
We started off the week by reading The Three Little Pigs

We practiced our sequence words (first, second, third, etc) to retell the story. We also added two more sight words to our list: little and down.

In our math center, we used our big bad wolf blowers to huff and puff objects across the finish line. We graphed our results.

On Tuesday, our wind theme continued when we felt the breeze of a fan as we worked on a writing prompt.  We searched through some magazines to find something that would blow by us on a windy day. Next, we added details to our page.

On the rug center we utilized our building skills and hoped the wind would not knock down our buildings.

This group made domino blocks. One little touch and they all fall down!

We also practice cutting out a kite shape and bows. We painted them the colors we would want to see flying high in the sky on a windy day.

We played a "Roll A Shape" game to practice identifying shapes. We learned what a trapezoid and a hexagon look like!

Easter is almost here and we're EGGCITED about it!

We had fun dying our very own Easter Eggs!

When we were done, we had just enough left over to try at snack time.

We enjoyed peeling the egg shell off ourselves and most of us liked eating the egg!

We worked on our counting skills and number recognition as we counting bunny ear dots and matched them to bow tie numbers.
On the rug center, we used our matching and fine motor skills to match all the mixed-up Easter eggs.
We had time to play a quick game with jumping bunnies. When the bunnies launched into the air, children took turns trying to catch them. It really worked our eye-hand coordination.

We had a fun time playing and learning at preschool this week!
